Expanded Polystyrene, EPS, takes center stage for Christ’s Church of the Valley located in Royersford, PA. Well, actually it isn’t center stage, but the stage backdrop for the Christian band. A simple and inexpensive but very effective backdrop when flooded with color.

EPS makes an excellent choice for stage props. It is lightweight and can be cut into virtually anything. For quick stage scenes, the ease of movement makes it an excellent choice.

We would like to applaud EPS, and take a bow. However, EPS is a very modest product – it is commonly but incorrectly referred to as Styrofoam™. Styrofoam is an extruded not expanded product, is actually blue in color and is a Dow trade name. We are sure the audience was impressed by the new stage design and most certainly they marveled over the creativity of the “Styrofoam” backdrop. It’s okay, we know it is really EPS that takes center stage for this and countless other projects.
