Standard Backer Rod insulation is customarily used in a joint to control sealant depth, insulate the underside of sealant, and to allow proper sealant tooling and wetting of joint surfaces.

Backer Rod, a non-absorbent, compressible material, is commonly used in the following projects:

          • Glazing Operations
          • Window and Door Applications
          • Expansion Joints
          • Log Construction
          • Partitions
          • Pavement Joints
          • Repairs

Backer Rod is chemically inert and will resist gasoline, oil and most other solvents.
