Virtual Truck Convoy
Of all the things changing in these crazy times we are living in, one thing is for sure – COVID cannot stop kindness from spreading! The Make-A-Wish Mother’s Day Truck Convoy may not have happened as planned, but the spirit of the event is still going strong! Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley is transitioning the event to a virtual one. Families, friends, truck drivers, all supporters of this wonderful program, can watch a smaller, modified convoy via Facebook live on Sunday, August 16th.
“Our Convoy planning committee and volunteers are already hard at work, identifying ways to make this Virtual Convoy an amazing event for our community, our supporters, and especially our wish families,” shared Terry Finch, Co-Chair of the Convoy Committee. “Drivers are continuing to raise funds through the new Convoy date, and we’re excited about the fun new activities and technology we can use to create a successful virtual event. Our thoughts are with all of our wish families during this time, and we hope to see them in person again very soon!”
The top 30 Drivers and key sponsors will travel from Manheim Pennsylvania Auto Auction through Lancaster to keep this tradition of 31 years alive. And now more than ever, the nearly 500 local wish kids are counting on donations to make their wishes come true. The Mother’s Day Carnival and Convoy is Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley’s primary fundraiser, typically bringing in the funds to grant over 75% of their wishes-in-waiting each year.
Despite COVID, We Can Still Make Wishes Come True!

And what better way to combat the COVID blues than putting smiles on the faces of kids in need?
