Melt Away Ceiling Tile by ICA

ICA-TILE is a Factory Mutual approved ceiling tile manufactured of expanded polystyrene (EPS) by Insulation Company of America. One of the benefits of melt-away ceiling tiles is that when the EPS tile is exposed to temperatures about 180ºF or higher it will shrink or melt away, hence ‘melt-away ceiling tiles’. This characteristic allows the ceiling tiles to be installed in a suspended grid system below the sprinkler heads. Should a fire occur, the heat will shrink the tile and allow the sprinkler system to perform properly.
