EPS Foam Keeps Its Cool!

ICA is a drop off for EPS recycling. We receive various EPS packaging including coolers. During a recent heat wave, Otto Katt, one of our salesmen, inquired about the coolers. His son, JR, is a farmer and was concerned about keeping his produce fresh at the weekend farmer’s market. With temperatures reaching 100 degrees it is hard to keep anything cool and healthy, especially lettuce.

JR took his fresh vegetables to market in EPS coolers with a bag of ice. The EPS didn’t sweat the heat wave or let JR down. His vegetables stayed fresh and he had a great weekend of sales. JR stated that the ice lasted for days. I have a feeling that JR’s farm stand business will be our new way of recycling the EPS coolers we receive.
